The channel runs with "bots" (short for robots) at the top of the list of names of who is in channel.

At the time that the channel was created, we decided that we "real people" in channel would be better able to communicate with folk who might want to discuss problems if we were seen as being equals and not "being in charge" or "empowered".
Most of the regular folk in channel are responsible people who exercise their individual This concept can be compared to the "priesthood of all believers" where everyone in the church is regarded as ministering in one way or another. Those who supervise the channel are all regulars who have confirmed our trust in their being part of "us". We are a sort of family who genuinely support one another and are happy to welcome someone new who would like to "belong".

Op is short for "Channel Operator". That is to say someone who has responsibility for supervising the operations of the channel in "real time", and (if necessary) applying the guidelines we have of what should, or should not happen in channel. We are very laid back and don't get easily upset, but we do have a few inflexible rules.
Our "ops" seldom are seen wearing the @ "hat" at the top of the nickname list because that often suggests someone exercising "power" which is not what opping in a Christian channel should be...
And we are helped out by several non-human ops as well...
Bot is short for "Robot". A bot is a computer program somewhere else, that looks after the channel in the absence of humans' influence. A bot is not a real person, but will sometimes respond to questions or instructions. We have a number that do different things, and no, we don't want onor need any more :)
